14 november An inconvenient truth——A movie worthy of watching "An inconvenient truth" is the simplest movie I've ever watched. This movie is about the climate change and global warming that is similar to another famous movie "The day after tomorrow". But if, we say, there is more or less entertainment factors involved in "The day after tomorrow", "An Inconvenient Truth" try to present the terrible scenarios in "The day after tomorrow" in more scientific method.
In this movie, good-looking dramatic personae, fantastic computer animation and story episodes, which are the key selling point in other movies, are totally lacking. This movie would better be seen as a scientific speech other than a movie. Because what the movie had is precise scientific data and fantastic speech from Al Gole, the man who used to compete with George Bush in the last president selection of United States. I am not interested in the political issue and don't familiar with this president candidate. But after this movie, I think I will show my great respects to him due to the rich knowledge and political will. If I were an American, I would vote for him in the next president selection.
He presented almost every aspect of evidences in order to justify the truth that the global warming and climate change is not something in the future, they are happening around us. For example, the warmer air and ocean temperature, the drown polar bear due to the disappearance of iceberg, the flood and drought happened in two neighboring provinces of China at the same time, the more frequent disaster events such as hurricane and cyclone occurred in American and Japan. To some extents, it is wrong we call that as global warming. Global warning should be the much more appropriate name and can be captured more attentions of publics. Because what we are worrying are the climate crisis resulted from the warmer temperature.
I am so surprised and feel scared to the possible awful scenarios that may happen after few decades. As the name of movie, it is definitely the most inconvenient truth in the world. But, at the same time, I am also proud of myself as the one of the people researching in this field.

I started to write my first English paper 3 days ago. Although I haven't written any paper even in Chinese except for my master degree paper, I will do my best to finish this mission.
This paper is about parameterization and evaluation of ORYZA2000 on aerobic rice in Beijing. My previous student wrote a Chinese passage about this issue, but I will try something new in my passage. I want to evaluate the performance of ORYZA2000 model by using of 4 years experiment data in Beijing and explore the ability for simulating yield under different soil moisture levels. When I finished my work, I will make a instruction more detailed. 27 augustus Finished! My first program I finally finished my first researching program, Integrated pedo-transfer (IPT) with the absent of weekends in one month. I am so happy in spite of a little tired. However, I suppose, there is still a long road to go, compared with other successful programs of pedotransfer function, such as Staringreeks, RETC and REstta. But I will insist on my way to improve IPT(Figure below).
IPT provides 5 Pedo-Transfer Functions for predicting the soil saturated and unsaturated hydraulic parameters. All of them were derived from literatures.
For the next step, I'd like to explore which kind of Pedotransfer is fitted to Chinese soil, and the impact or adaptation of Pedotransfer to ORYZA2000 simulation. Lots of soil scientists have conducted a series of "wonderful" work about that and created varieties of statistical functions, which are often called Pedo-transfer functions. As an indirect method, pedo-transfer functions method is famous for its more convenience to get soil hydraulic properties, which was presented by scholars. And, for some research about simulation on large scales, pedo-transfer functions method may be the only approach to define soil properties in different land unit by use of data of soil survey.

I am Ian, who study in Institute of Atmosphere Physics (IAP) for my PHD. In the coming 3 years, I will do some researches about the compacts of climate change to crop growth in China, which is still a challege and hot project.
I built this spaces for communisting with others, who are interested in my research contents, more easily. In this space,we should not limite by traditinal ways. And you can express your opinions, suggestions directly. Because, I believe, "Brain storm" is a top management for researcher. Let's talk science together.

B The combination of crop simulation model with climate model (Now I use ORYZA2000 lowland rice growth model);
